Pep Ventosa’s work is focused on an exploration of the medium itself—deconstructing and reconstructing photographic images to create new visual experiences. His series of reconstructed images were each created using dozens to several hundred separate photographs.  Originally shot in fragments, the puzzle pieces were then reconstructed one by one and reworked to create a unique narrative space that never actually happened, where the whole travels mysteriously further than what the camera documented. Part memory, part imagination, not unlike the way we see.
